A seizure involves collapse, paddling, drooling, and loss of awareness. Keep your dog safe, time the episode, and call your vet — clusters or seizures over 5 minutes are emergencies.
During a seizure
Move hazards away, do not put hands near the mouth, note duration.
After
Disorientation (post-ictal phase) is normal for minutes to hours.
Causes
Epilepsy, toxins, brain tumours, low blood sugar, and liver disease.
